Carre MOJI can create original works customized to meet your requirements, using the word(s) or character(s) which you specify.
Just let us know your preference, and we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

We will create original work(s) customized to your requests such as a character style and frame design by discussing the details by phone,
e-mail, fax, or face-to-face.
We will create multiple works and suggest the best 3 or 4 from out of these works.
Please be relieved that we will create the work until you are satisfied.
It usually takes about 4 weeks until we complete your custom order after you place it.

We recommend a custom order if you are looking for
- an original work using the specific character(s) or word(s).
- a work which cannot be found in the online shop.
- a work that matches perfectly with your interior.
- a work with your name, or that of a friend to whom you wish to give a gift.
- a work with your company or shop name. (We also offer for logo design.)
- a work found in the online shop, but not the desired size.
- several works which are the same size or contain the same character(s).
- a work within your budget.

Process of purchase

STEP 1

Please inform us of the word(s) or character(s) that you would like us to create for your custom order.
You can select not only Japanese word(s) or character(s), but also English, French, and most other foreign languages.

STEP 2

Please select your favorite work(s) from our online shop that we will use as an image reference for the creation of your
custom order (You may also leave the image and designing of the work(s) up to us).
Then you will contact us by phone, e-mail, or the order form at the bottom of this page.

STEP 3

We will discuss the image of the work and frame design. We will assign the most suitable calligrapher for your request.

STEP 4

We will create the artwork in about 2 weeks.

STEP 5

We will create multiple works and suggest the best 3 or 4 from out of these works.
After you decide a work, we will frame the work according to your request in about 2 weeks.

STEP 6

We will ship the work to your requested address.

Price and shipment of a custom order

Approximate price is calculated by adding 30% to the price of a similar ready-made work in the online shop.
Simply fill in the order form at the bottom of this page, if you wish us to estimate your order.
We will ship to your requested address even overseas. Shipping is free for deliveries in Japan.
Shipping costs are in general 15% of product prices (tax included) for overseas delivery.

Let us create an artistic calligraphy from your name

There are two options to create your name ( any language ) in Japanese characters.

Type 1

ー Pronunciation Based ―

We will choose Japanese characters that are both similar in pronunciation to your name and have a good meaning.

Name: "Aiden"

ー Meaning Based ―

We will choose Japanese characters that have a meaning similar to what your name means in your language.

The name "Rebecca" means "Bond or Tie".

Process of purchase

STEP 1

Inform us by e-mail ( moji@carremoji.jp ) of the name and its pronunciation ( Type One ) or its meaning ( Type Two ).

STEP 2

We will e-mail you 2 or 3 candidates for the Japanese character(s) for your name for Type One.
We will e-mail you the Japanese character(s) for Type Two.

STEP 3

After you decide/approve the character(s), you can make the payment by credit card.

STEP 4

One of our calligraphers should be able to create the art work in about 2 weeks. We will e-mail you
2 or 3 photographs showing 2 or 3 different styles of the same character(s). Then you will select one work.

STEP 5

We will send the final work by EMS
( Japan Post ) to your address about 2 weeks after you decide on the frame design.

STEP 6

We will ship the work to your requested address.

Price and shipment of a name arts

JPY 100,000 with Frame 35 x 45cm ( or 45 x 35cm )

* Postage worldwide: 15% of the artwork price
